Practice tests

You do not need an account. Your answers and progress in a test are saved only in your own browser (local storage) so you can pick up where you left off; they are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Mistake reports

If you report a mistake, we store your message, the question and page it was sent from, your browser's user-agent string, and a one-way hash of your IP address made with a key that changes every day. The hash only lets us limit repeated submissions; it cannot be turned back into your address. Please do not include personal information in a report.

Analytics

From 2 November 2026 the site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tests are used. It records the pages you view, how you arrived (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), your approximate location (city level, from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store), your device and browser type, and a few events we send: starting a test, finishing one (which test, the language, your score and whether it would have passed) and sending a mistake report. It never receives your answers, your report text or anything you type.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>) to tell repeat visits apart. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, so this data is not used to personalise ads. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland get no analytics cookies: their visits are counted without them. Google processes the data as described in Google's privacy policy.

To opt out, block cookies for this site in your browser, use a content blocker, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. The tests work the same either way.

Advertising

From 2 November 2026 the site uses Google AdSense to pay for keeping every practice test free (ads appear once Google has reviewed the site). Google, as the ad provider, uses cookies and similar technology to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure results and prevent fraud, and outside the regions below it may choose ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Your test answers, scores and reports are never shared with advertisers, and our analytics data is not used for advertising.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland get no advertising cookies unless they agree to them in the consent message Google shows. Anyone can turn off personalised ads at Google's Ad Settings or at aboutads.info; see also how Google uses cookies in advertising. Blocking cookies or using a content blocker also works; the tests work the same either way.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, time and user-agent) for security and troubleshooting.
